Hold a real tattoo machine and ink your own leather piece, guided step by step by a tattoo artist. Bring someone you love, or come on your own.
The experience
If you've always wondered how a tattoo works, this is your chance to find out. Bring a belt, coin purse or small handbag from home, and you'll tattoo it yourself using a real machine.
Every guest also receives a small leather gift with the experience, either a patch or a coin purse, yours to tattoo and take home.
A stencil is provided, and the artist walks you through every step, from transferring the design to your final line. Make something for a partner, a loved one, or design a piece that's yours alone.
Before you touch your own piece, you'll warm up on a scrap of leather we provide. Get a feel for the machine, practice a few lines, and once you're comfortable, move on to the real thing.
This isn't a tattoo class. It's an evening out, and a rare chance to sit on the other side of the machine and feel what the artist feels with every line.

Flash designs
Every session comes with a variety of ready-to-go flash designs to choose from on the day. The artist transfers your pick as a stencil, so you spend your time tattooing, not drawing.
Private group and corporate events can choose the flash styles they'd like prepped ahead in their event request, and add simple touches like initials or a date. Fully custom artwork isn't offered, since it takes time away from the event.

Safety first
Everything you'll use is professional tattoo equipment, so proper safety precautions are part of every session and must be followed for your safety and everyone else's.
Every guest signs a participation waiver before their session. It takes about two minutes online: sign the waiver.
Reservations
Prices are per session when you bring your own leather good. Every guest receives a small leather gift, a patch or coin purse, included with the experience. Leather goods are also available to purchase at the studio for an additional cost; prices vary by item. A non-refundable $25 deposit per guest reserves your spot and goes toward your total. The rest is paid in cash at the studio, $50 per guest at the standard rate. Private group events (10+) and corporate events are booked by request.

No. The goal isn't to train you as a tattoo artist. It's to enjoy a good time and experience what tattooing feels like from the artist's chair.

Yes. Mark Your Leather is for guests 18 and older only, including private group and corporate events. Please bring a valid photo ID, since we check at the door.

Smooth, natural leather works best, such as a belt, coin purse or small handbag. Suede, patent and faux leather don't hold ink well. Every guest also gets a small leather patch or coin purse as a gift. Want something bigger? Leather goods are available to purchase at the studio, and prices vary by item.
Private group events (10 to 16 guests) and corporate events are booked by request. Once we confirm your date, we'll send a deposit invoice: $25 per guest for private groups, or 50% ($500) for corporate events. Deposits are non-refundable and applied to your total. Your final headcount is due 7 days before the event, and the group is charged for that number. Private groups pay the balance in cash on the day. Corporate events receive an invoice for the balance. Corporate events can reschedule with 14 days' notice.
A $25 deposit per guest reserves your spot and is applied to your total. On the day, you pay the remaining $50 per guest, plus any leather goods, in cash at the studio. Deposits are non-refundable, but you can reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice. If you don't show up, the deposit is forfeited.
